Badge Club is our beginner program for skaters under the age of 18. Skaters learn the fundamentals of figure skating in a fun atmosphere as they progress at their own speed through the Basic Skills Badge Levels 1 through 6. Once a skater passes Badge 6 they “move up” to Advance Club.
Summer 2008:
A specific Badge Club program is not offered during the summer months, to allow young skaters an opportunity to try other sports and rest growing muscles. Badge Club skaters can take advatange of Learn To Skate sessions to practice their skills during the summer. CHECK BACK for our exciting Fall 2008 programs.
Advance Club is for junior skaters who have passed Basic Skills Badge 6. Skaters advance their skating skills through the Basic Skills Badge levels 7 and 8, and Freestyle Badge levels 1 through 6. Through group lessons, we also introduce them to elements of the various figure skating disciplines: singles skating, ice dancing, synchronized skating, and moves-in-the-field. Once skaters pass the U.S. Figure Skating Pre-Preliminary Free Skating test, they “move up” to Competitors Club.
