Where We Skate
Leading names in figure skating, Figure skating stars with Stars On Ice and Champions On Ice and guest professionals, always compliment the famous Hershey ice. The Hershey Figure Skating Club is proud and privileged to benefit from the years of experience the Hershey rink crews have in making great ice for figure skating. The Club skates at two rinks in Hershey, Giant Center and the historic Hersheypark Arena, both of which are a part of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex (see directions below).

HFSC Skaters at Hersheypark Arena

Giant Center in Hershey
Giant Center is Home Ice for the Hershey Figure Skating Club. The state-of-the-art facilty opened in fall 2002 and features a full-size ice surface measuring 85 x 200 feet and is bright, clean, and a comfortable temperature. Giant Center is a venue for figure skating events, hockey, and concerts, with seating for 10,000 for figure skating and hockey, and 12,500 for concerts. It is also home to the AHL hockey team, the Hershey Bears. Official Giant Center website, www.giantcenter.net.

Hersheypark Arena in Hershey
The Hershey Figure Skating Club also skates at historic Hersheypark Arena. This facility is the historic home of HFSC and also features a full-size ice surface measuring 85 x 200 feet, a comfortable skating temperature and a bright environment.

Opened in 1936, the Arena has been home to many significant figure skating events:

1941 – Ice Capades performs at the Arena for the first time
1953 - U.S. Figure Skating Championships hosted by Hershey Figure Skating Club
1966 - Eastern Figure Skating Championships hosted by Hershey Figure Skating Club
1989 – Hersheypark Arena celebrates 50 years of Ice Capades at The Hotel Hershey which was the birthplace of the Ice Capades in 1940
1992 – First pro-am competition regulated by the USFSA, the 1992 Chrysler Concorde Pro-Am Challenge
