Get To The Next Level While Having Fun - Join our Junior Skater Club Programs

Ready to take a step beyond our regular Learn-to-Skate sessions to see where figure skating will take you? Does your junior skater want to learn the basics of skating or improve on their skills in a regular weekly session with other dedicated skaters? The Hershey Figure Skating Junior Skater Club Programs for skaters 18 and under are the right fit for every need!

Our Junior Club programs include options for all levels of skaters, from those taking a step beyond Learn-to-Skate, to those intensely involved in competition, to everyone in between.  Programs include:

  • on-ice group instruction by skating level with highly qualified figure skating coaches 
  • participation in a group program at HFSC recitals/shows

Current Program Offerings:

Aspire

Our "Bridge" program from Learn to Skate. This program is designed for:  

  • Beginner skaters who have learned the basics of skating at Learn to Skate and are ready for the next step!  Forward and backward crossovers, advanced two-foot spins, bunny hops, beginning one-foot spin, backward stroking and one-foot glides, hockey stops and t-stops. (Basic Badges 3-6)
  • Skaters who have finished Basic Badges 1-6 and are ready to work on Freeskate badges with more complex skills.  These include beginning jumps, from waltz and half jumps through a beginning Axel jump, as well as learning to combine steps and and moves leading to choreography. (Freeskate Badges 3-6)

Elite/Elite Gold

Our program for advanced, competitive skaters. This program is designed for: 

  • Skaters developing single jumps and basic spins. Skaters will be grouped by level and by private coach to develop jumps and spins, as well as moves in the field, artistry, and dance. (Elite)
  • Skaters developing double jumps and high-level spins. Skaters will be grouped by level and by private coach to develop  jumps and spins, as well as moves in the field, artistry, and dance. (Elite Gold)

Skaters must have passed Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field to participate.

Offered: 

Tuesday 

5:00-6:45pm On Ice

 

7:00-7:30pm Off Ice Training

 

Giant Center January 3, 10, 17, 31; February 7, 14, 21, 28; March 7, 14

 

Cost:

HFSC Members: $135 for on ice, $45 for off-ice instruction (10 weeks)

Non-Members: $153 for on ice, $67 for off-ice instruction (10 weeks)
