What is Theatre on Ice?

Theatre on Ice (TOI) uses all aspects of figure skating to incorporate a theme, emotion or story, enhanced by music.  It is a package that includes five dimensions:

  • Theme
  • Music/Sound
  • Choreography/Skating Movements
  • Performance/The rapport between the skaters and/or sub-groups of skaters
  • Costuming, props and/or scenery.

TOI combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance!  But we don't stop there - TOI also includes continues skating skill development with the skating skills found in the Learn to Skate Basic Skills curriculum and beyond!  TOI also includes off ice choreography.

Theatre is held Tuesdays and Thursdays during our Club Programs!
